Fraction Fun in Third Grade!





We can't wait for our PES "Leap Into Learning" Night next Thursday, February 29 on LEAP DAY! One of the fun activities that night is a Book Swap. If you would like to participate in the book swap and have book bucks to spend that night, please make sure to send in books by THIS Friday 2/23. See the flyer below for all the details!

Our January Monthly Focus is "JUMP Into a New Year!" How perfect Mrs. Shanahan launched Jump Rope Ninja this month too! The students just started this past week working towards their Jump Rope Ninja Goals in PE to earn their belts! So much fun!!







Wear Pajamas to school on Wednesday 1/31 for our last day of January and our JUMP Into a New Year Monthly Focus. No Slippers.

On Tuesday, February 6th, Peotone Schools will be welcoming musician, YouTuber, and motivational speaker, George Moss. Mr. Moss will be stopping by to speak to our 3rd-12th grade students about resiliency through trying times, knowing others are here to help, and finding your purpose. That day, there will be three separate sessions for 3rd-5th grade, 6th-8th grade, and 9th-12th grade. We look forward to welcoming Mr. Moss next week on Tuesday!

The PHS Student Council is selling Valentine's Day Treat Bags for all PES Students and Staff! Parents can purchase a Treat Bag for their child, child's teacher, or a PES staff member using the link below. There is also the option to write a personalized message before checkout!
Each Valentine's Day Treat Bag costs $10 and includes assorted candies, treats, Pop Its, stickers, pens, pencils, sharpeners, slap bracelets, stamps and more! Purchase your treat bag beginning today, January 24 - February 2. Treat bags will be delivered to PES on Monday, February 12th.

Due to the anticipated weather and potential for hazardous road conditions, all Peotone Schools will utilize an e-Learning Day tomorrow, Tuesday, January 23rd.

Due to the inclement weather, all district after-school events and activities will be canceled for this evening (Monday, January 22nd).

The last day for students prior to Winter Break will be Thursday, December 21st. On this day, the Peotone Early Education will not be in session; however, all other buildings will operate on a Common Plan Schedule.

Monday, January 8th - Teacher Institute Day (No Student Attendance)
Tuesday, January 9th - Students Return after Winter Break

One School, One GOAL! Our goal at PES is Home BASE (B-Behavior Support, A-Academic Growth, S- Social Emotional, E-Encourage Physical Well Being)
Our November “Encourage Physical Well Being” Challenge is to eat the rainbow in fruits or vegetables. Color in a feather each time you eat a fruit or vegetable that color. The League that has the highest percentage turned in will earn a Trophy!
